Pray at the major Hindu shrines of Nepal
Hindu Pilgrimage Tour in Nepal covers Nepal's most revered Hindu Shrines, which are scattered in different geographical locations of the country. Initially, the tour kicks off with the religious tours of Kathmandu's revered shrines. During a day pilgrimage tour of Kathmandu, we visit Pashupatinath, the largest Hindu Shrine of the country dedicated to Lord Shiva. Offer your prayers at the Temples of Temples and witness the Hindu funeral rituals at the bank of Holy Bagmati River at Pashupatinath. Then we visit to the largest Vishnu Temple of the valley, Budanilkantha.
The Hindu Pilgrimage Tour then takes us to the Holy Hindu Shrine of lowland plains- Janaki Temple. The major Hindu shrine lying in the city, where Sita was born is major highlight of the tour. Explore around all the revered landmarks at Janakpur, before we go on a long drive to Pokhara. Flying to the Apple Orchard of the country, Jomsom- we begin our pilgrimage Yatra to the Temple of Salvation, Muktinath that nestles above clouds. En route to Muktinath, we also have an opportunity to witness the highland authentic in the villages like Kagbeni, which is the Gateway to the Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang. After visiting the revered Narayan Temple, Muktinath and bathing in the holy 108 taps there we fly back to Pokhara, where we briefly halt to savor the natural delights of the city.
The last shrine we stop to pray during the Tour is Manakamana Temple "The wish fulfilling Goddess". Sliding on a ropeway cable, we reach the revered shrine on the hilltop to offer our prayer to this Goddess. Returning to Kathmandu, we end our Pilgrimage Tour.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Overnight at Hotel
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and warm welcome by our representative from Himalayan Glory Travels and Tours, transfer to Hotel. Free time, later short information about the tour and evening welcome dinner in Nepali typical Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Explore Kathmandu Hindu Pilgrimage Site
After breakfast, drive to Pashupatinath Temple, a popular hindu pilgrimage temple situated at a distance of 5 km from the Kathmandu city at the bank of Holy Bagmati River. Join in the regular Puja and ritual activities, explore around the temple and the old monuments. The temple is popular for Lord Pashupatinath (Famous Shiva Temple in South Asia), specially on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, Teej, Janai Purnima, Bala Chaturdarshi, the temple is crowded by the Holy Men (sadhus) and the hindu devotees. After the Pashupatinath Sightseeing, drive to Budhanilkantha, Sleeping Vishnu Statue on the Water at the peaceful area northern part of Kathmandu. After the Budhanilkantha Darshan, drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The popular World Heritage Site, Kathmandu Durbar Square consists of Kumari Temple, Hanumandhoka, Kastamandap, Museum, Taleju Bhawani and Kal Bhairav Statue. After the exploration around the Kathmandu Durbar Square, drive back to Hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive/Fly from Kathmandu to Janakpur, check in Hotel. Overnight at Janakpur
Day 04: Sightseeing around Janakpur
Morning after breakfast process to Sightseeing around the Janakpur City including the Janaki Temple Darshan and puja, Dhanusha Dham and Shiva Temple. Overnight at Janakpur.
Day 05: Drive from Janakpur to Pokhara via Chitwan, (10-11 hours drive)
Morning drive from Janakpur to Pokhara via Chitwan,transfer to Hotel, check in and refresh. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 06: Pokhara to Kathmandu via Manakamana (cable car darshan and puja), Overnight at Kathmandu
Morning after breakfast drive to Kathmandu via Manakamana. Visit Manakamana Temple, one of the sacred Hindu Pilgrimage Sites Godness. Enjoy with Puja, darshan and 10 minutes flying like experience on cable car). After the Manakamana Darshan, drive to Kathmandu, Evening free time for self exploration, overnight at kathmandu.
Day 07: Departure to onward destination.
(As this is final day of entire Hindu Pilgrimage Pashupatinath Janakpur Muktinath Tour. Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport, fly to onward destination.
