People Republic of China has updated their visa and travel permits to Tibet and Mount Kailash for 2025. While travelling to Tibet Autonomous Zone, a traveler or pilgrimage yatries required a special travel permit from the foreign affairs of China. The permits is issuing under controlled by the local travel agents of China/Tibet. After submitting the passport copy with travel plan the entire group get an entry permits and sponsor granted paper. After that, every foreigners expect (India) required to submit the 11 pages visa application form to China Visa Center with their Original Travel Document (passport). After that, within 3 to 4 working days Chinese Embassy dispatch the group travel permit and visa for Tibet and Mt. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. So every traveler required to arrive at least 1 or 2 working days before the plan of original in Kathmandu and he/she should bearer the extra day’s expenses by themselves.
As of now, the Kailash Charan Sparsh walk remains closed due to the ongoing ban from Chinese local authority. Pilgrims are still permitted to perform the traditional Kailash Kora (circumambulation) around Mt. Mount Kailash, which is considered equally meritorious. Alternative spiritual practices, are also encouraged to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrimage. And, offer you extra miles pilgrimage path to the Asthapada drive and walk. Asthapada is a part of Kailash Inner Kora where you can get up-close darshan of Kailash Parbat south face and Nandi Parbat.
